Happy first day of Fall, Wichita!!! It FINALLY feels like Fall! May it stay that way!
In celebration, we’re sharing a wine we tried recently. It’s a great Fall wine!
We present:
El Goru Gold Red Blend, Jumilla, Spain

This is a blend of mostly Monastrell (the same thing as Mourvèdre) with Syrah and Petit Verdot. It’s such an interesting wine from Spain, not one of the typical ones you’ve heard of! It reminds us of cedar, leather, and coffee. It makes Bart think of farming grains. This is balanced out with some dark cherry and licorice. It’s complex for the price, and we were really excited to find this one! Katie did a taste comparison with her husband’s family with this one and a similarly priced Monastrell blend from Yecla, Spain, and this was a winner. We highly recommend you try it!
This sells for $14 at Jacob Liquor
Happy Fall!!!!! 🍁
