Do you like Napa Cabernets? This is a FANTASTIC Napa Cab. To be honest, it almost reminds us more of a Bordeaux Cab from France, as it has some earthiness to it and isn't quite as fruity as some Napa Cabs. This wine smells and tastes GREAT. It's almost hard to say what it smells and tastes like, other than goodness. We get flavors of ripe cherries and blackberries and sweet tobacco. As you may have read about Bart, when he tastes a wine he loves, he tends to get real poetic real fast. When asked what he thought about this wine, we got "This wine has a presence and quiet personality, hard to pull your gaze from... You need a quiet evening with special guests, thoughtful conversation, and inner reflection. This wine will be a welcome guest and thoughtful sounding board." See what we mean?
Food pairing idea: T-bone steak
In a nutshell,
The wine: A+
The price: I don't think it's available in Wichita (Bart's sister brought it for us), but it sells online for about $165.
Would we buy it again? at this price it's hard to justify, but never turn it down if a friend is buying
