Pinot Noir is a popular, light red grape that is the darling grape of Oregon. And let me tell you, Oregon grows some fantastic Pinot Noir. As a general rule, the Pinots from Oregon aren't as earthy as the Pinots from France, but they're not as fruity as those from California. They're somewhere in between. This one, however, struck us almost a little more like a California Pinot, as it is nice and fruity. It smells like those Twizzler cherry nibs, and it's not too earthy. It is light and delicate, great for enjoying on a Spring afternoon in the garden or on the deck. Bart thinks this would be a great wine to take fishing, if you want to upgrade your fishing experience. This is an uncomplicated wine that should be paired with light food.

Food pairing idea: trout you caught in Colorado, or crappie from here in Kansas

In a nutshell,

The wine: B+

The price: $21 at Jacob Liquor

Would we buy it again? for this price? yes
