Some occasions call for a real celebration. We recently had such an occasion, and we celebrated with a fantastic wine we wanted to share with you:

Round Pond Estate, Louis Bovet Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon, 2021

The Louis Bovet is a Cabernet Sauvignon from Napa. This inky dark beauty is perhaps one of the smoothest wines we’ve ever had. It almost makes you think of cream in your mouth, but it’s wine. It’s so good. It reminds us of dark ripe cherries and blackberries, with a hint of vanilla bean and nutmeg, which even brought to mind blackberry cobbler. You even get a bit of cocoa in this. This is such a good wine. We can’t say enough good about it. It’s like being wrapped in a warm, cozy blanket in front of a fire, it’s just so comforting and delicious. We all agreed this was one of the best wines we’ve had in a very long time.
