If you're a fan of Zinfandel wines, you likely enjoy big, fruity, somewhat spicy wines that are a little tart, but also have a lot of ripeness and almost sweetness to them. So you should know that if you like Zins for those reasons, this one isn't like that. To be honest, we weren't big fans of this one. It's unidimensional and thin and tart, without that ripe big fruit we've come to expect with California Zinfandel. Bart ages himself by saying it tastes like sour nibs, which were apparently a candy at some point, but they're discontinued and Katie's never heard of them. But if you have, apparently it tastes like that. If that review was enough to make you want to try this wine, unfortunately Bart found it in his wine cooler and can't remember where he got it from or how much it cost.

Food pairing idea: burgers on the grill

In a nutshell,

The wine: C

The price: the internet suggests $35

Would we buy it again? no
